Golf Industry Show

- A "Powerful" Industry Show -

"There's no better place to be in February than Orlando."

Thousands of golf industry professionals apparently concurred with that statement two weeks ago as the annual Golf Industry Show got underway at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. While exact attendance figures for the February 10-12 event have yet to be released, more than 22,000 golf industry professionals were expected to attend the show.

The Golf Course Superintendents Association (GCSAA) and the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) joined forces to present an innovative trade show experience. The Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA) and the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASCGA) served as supporting organizations for the Show by presenting a number of key educational opportunities.

The show featured approximately 800 exhibitors over more than 250,000 square feet of exhibit space. Many special features and events enhanced the show experience for attendees, including "solution centers" that focused on a particular area of golf facility management, each with interactive demonstrations, presentations and case studies. Solution centers included an actual golf course green, indoor driving range, and a full-scale irrigation pump demonstration. Along with the show, the GCSAA and NGCOA presented their annual educational conferences, Feb. 7-12. Gala events, guest speakers, networking opportunities, and much more added to the "drawing" power of the Show.
