Palmetto for Commercial Development

"Palmetto St. Augustine gives us the flexibility to use it in full sun, or in some shade shade. But, it is Palmetto's good looks that make us able to use it anywhere."

Palmetto St. Augustine is a native grass discovered and developed in central Florida. Palmetto thrives across the southern U.S., from Florida to California, within a wide range of climate and soil conditions, making it an ideal choice for commercial and residential use.
Palmetto has an outstanding emerald green color that is truly attractive. It performs well in full sun, yet also thrives in more shaded areas where other grasses may fail (Palmetto needs 3-4 hours of direct sunlight per day).
Its heat, humidity, cold and frost tolerances – as well as resistance to disease and chinch bugs - make it a hardy, versatile turf selection for many regions and microclimates.
Since Palmetto rapidly sends out runners to repair open areas, it will recover more quickly from damage. A massive root system makes it drought tolerant, once established.
You should take a closer look at Palmetto if you are evaluating turfgrass selections for a commercial site. Aesthetically pleasing; hardy; quick to recover from damage; and lower maintenance needs: Palmetto will deliver years of viable performance in the landscape.
