Sod Solutions Adds Regional Sales Manager (April 2006)

Sod Solutions, Inc., an international turfgrass development company, has hired Erin J. Boyd as Regional Sales Manager. In this position, she will be responsible for creating new sales opportunities for Sod Solutions licensees, and for generating new business leads for the company.

Boyd is from Monticello, Florida. Her family has been farming in Jefferson County, Florida for six generations. She is a graduate of Florida State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Family, Child, & Consumer Sciences. While in college, Erin worked as a public relations representative for the Florida Watermelon Association. She served as an intern in Washington D.C. for Senator Bill Nelson. During the past three years, Erin has managed the sales and marketing for Boyd Sod Farm, and she has also handled sod operations at the farm for the last year. She has served on the License & Bond Review Committee as a member of the board of directors for the Florida Sod Growers Cooperative. Boyd is also on the Board of Directors for the Tallahassee Builders Association and is an alternative associate director with the Florida Home Builders Association. She is currently working with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences on the development of a Florida Sod Best Management Practices manual. Boyd resides in Tallahassee.
