Turfgrass Producers of Texas Celebration Field Day is Sept. 8
The Turfgrass Producers of Texas (TPT) will host a field day that features CelebrationTM Bermudagrass, the “#1 Ranked Bemudagrass”, on Friday, Sept. 8 at Murff Turf Farms in Crosby, TX. Take advantage of a half day of tour- and educational events at Murff Turf that will illustrate the advantages that Celebration offers to golf courses, sports fields and home landscapes. Attendance is free, and includes lunch.
 
Celebration has consistently been ranked #1 in several turfgrass studies conducted by universities in the past two years. North Carolina State University, Clemson University and the University of Arkansas have published data that rates Celebration superior to other bermudagrasses studied, in a number of attributes:

  • More efficient water use

  • Lower surface hardness
  • Overall turf quality
 
The field day event is planned to illustrate the research findings and to provide first-hand information from professionals who are specifying and managing Celebration for golf courses and sports fields. The keynote speaker will be Chip Powell of Powell Golf Design Company. There will be a farm tour, as well as technical, research and general information presentations. Lunch will be served.
